The Big "Three O"

When I woke up this morning, my counter that records the anniversary of the day of my birth rolled over another digit. This time not only did the "ones" digit change, but the "tens" digit changed as well.

So how does it feel to be 30? Kinda the same as 29 years 364 days. I didn't anticipate feeling much different, but had the thought in the back of my mind of a last minute panic. But no, not really any difference.

So for those who read this site, all both of you, 30 is not so bad.

To Blog or Not To Blog...That is the Question

Now I have a blog, and even have it linked to a domain. But what do I do with it? I'm not the type to share every thought or emotion online for the world to see; however, I do like the idea of sharing a few things. I guess time will tell...and my remembering to log in and post something. I see this site becoming a fusion of my family, my interests and my hobbies. Who knows. I guess since the name is JeremyEllis.net and my name is Jeremy Ellis, I can do pretty much what I want :)

Rubik's Cube

I got a Rubik's cube for Christmas. I am by no means a genius, but by following the instructions that came with it, I can now solve it in less than five minutes. I know it's not speed cube record...just search youtube for speed cube, but hey, I can do it. Now the way I see it is this way. I could have taken time to figure out this puzzle, but why re-invent the wheel? It came with the 7 step process to solve the thing. I practiced with the steps enough, that I started to see what they did. Then I could do it without the instructions. I've came up with a couple of shortcuts that help. The moral of the story is that if you can read, and comprehend what you read, you can truly do most anything.
